Gordon S. Linoff has had a keen interest in understanding and
analyzing large data sets and in applying the results to business
problems since he was a student at the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology. Gordon is a practitioner, thought-leader, and teacher in
the area of data mining.
His most recent book, Data Analysis with SQL and Excel, was published by Wiley in 2007. His earlier books, written with his colleague
Michael Berry, include Data Mining Techniques for Marketing, Sales,
and Customer Relationship Management and Mastering Data Mining: The
Art and Science of Customer Relationship Management.
Gordon is a Founder and Principal of Data Miners, Inc
Prior to co-founding Data Miners in 1998, he also worked at Naviant
Technology Solutions and Thinking Machines Corporation. He has
consulted for a wide range of companies including Bank of America, BT,
The Limited, The New York Times, T-Mobile, The Teaching Company, and
Pfizer.
